Before transporting a Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Maybach or Mercedes S-Class, an owner needs clear information about responsibility, insurance and the records of the car's condition before and after the journey.

This guide explains cover, privacy and handover, with questions to ask any transport company before booking.

Responsibility during luxury car transport

The contract and inspection records define responsibility, the condition accepted, destination and agreed delivery time. Review those documents before committing to the shipment.

Our transport is covered by a contract, inspection reports at collection and delivery, photographs from all sides and completion documents. Compare the vehicle with the collection images before completing the delivery report.

Insurance for your vehicle

Our carrier liability is insured under CMR up to €400,000. Liability cover concerns loss attributable to the carrier, subject to its terms. Separate all-risks cargo cover and the terms applicable to a particular car are discussed before signing.

Compare the limit with the car's value. Tell us if its value approaches or exceeds €400,000 so the insurance arrangement can be agreed before the calculation.

Confirm valuation evidence, such as a purchase contract, dealer invoice or valuation report, and ask how it would be used in a claim.

  • Identify whether the policy covers carrier liability or the vehicle as cargo.
  • Check the limit and scope across loading, unloading and international stages.
  • Ask about exclusions.
  • Agree the vehicle value and supporting documents.

Who can see the car in transit

An enclosed body has solid walls and a roof without windows. The vehicle cannot be viewed or photographed through the closed body during the journey.

A single-car van can collect at an agreed address, subject to access. Check house gates, dealership approaches or parking entrance heights in advance rather than assuming every location is accessible.

Identify a chauffeur, assistant or dealership representative in the booking if they will release or receive the vehicle, and agree their documents, signing arrangements and key handover.

From loading to delivery

The vehicle is inspected, photographed and recorded before loading. One of our single-car vans uses a rear hydraulic platform that raises it horizontally. The body has 2.40 m headroom, suitable for vehicles including tall SUVs when their dimensions are confirmed.

Soft straps secure the wheels and wheel stops hold their position. The car rests on its own suspension; straps do not load the bodywork or suspension. GPS tracking is available in transit.

At delivery, inspect the vehicle against collection photographs before signing the report and record any question with the carrier's representative present.

Dedicated or shared transport

Shared enclosed carriers take two–three or six–eight vehicles and can reduce the price per car. Departure may depend on filling the load, and other collections can add stops. A dedicated single-car van follows the agreed journey for your vehicle.

Choose a dedicated journey where the date, direct collection and limited handling matter, such as a dealer purchase, relocation or ownership handover. Express transport offers dispatch within 24–48 hours once confirmed, a personal planner and an arrival date in the contract.

Our examples include a Mercedes-AMG S63 from Kazan to Yerevan, Bentley Flying Spur from Moscow to Gurzuf and Mercedes-Benz S350d from Istanbul to Brest.

  • What is the liability limit, and is separate cargo cover available?
  • Which contracts, inspection records and photographs will you receive?
  • How can you track the car, and which planner is available?
  • Does the price include collection, cover, waiting and international documentation?
