Car Transport in Europe and between Europe and Russia

A request for European car transport can mean a journey between European countries, collection in Germany for Moscow, or transport from Russia to Europe. The enclosed carrier format is similar, but borders, documents and eligibility differ.

Check the actual car, registration, owner and destination before booking, then agree the route, paperwork and timetable.

Transport between European countries

A journey entirely within the EU generally uses the vehicle documents and CMR transport paperwork without customs procedures at internal borders. Confirm the specific booking requirements.

Routes involving countries outside the EU, such as Switzerland, the UK or Norway, can require additional customs arrangements at entry and exit. Prepare them before dispatch.

A planning allowance of around 500–700 km per day reflects truck speeds and driver rest. For example, roughly 1,800 km may involve around three road days plus handling time for a dedicated journey; shared transport can take longer.

We coordinate collection with dealers, auction sites and private sellers in cities including Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin and Hamburg.

Checking a vehicle before export from Germany

Export restrictions from the EU to Russia depend on vehicle characteristics and value. We check export and import eligibility before calculating a booking and do not accept journeys that cannot be performed lawfully.

Send the VIN, listing or invoice before paying for the car so feasibility can be checked before purchase.

We agree release with the seller and photograph the vehicle at collection. The recipient can compare its condition against those records at delivery.

International documentation and Russian customs-clearance arrangements are included in the service scope agreed for the booking.

Routes from Germany to Moscow

The route is selected for the car, available arrangements and dates.

  • A direct land journey: a planning estimate of around two weeks including document procedures, with road travel forming only part of the total.
  • Via Turkey: enclosed carrier to Istanbul, ferry to Tuapse and onward enclosed transport to Moscow, with timing dependent on the sailing.

Transport from Russia to Europe

Requests such as Moscow to Alicante require checks because entry restrictions can affect cars arriving from Russia.

Feasibility depends on the car, registration country, owner and destination. Provide make, model, year, registration, whether the owner is an individual or company, and the destination city before calculation.

Where the shipment is feasible, agree an enclosed body, inspection photographs, GPS tracking and applicable insurance terms before dispatch.

Documents for a cross-border shipment

The planner confirms the exact list for the route. A Europe–Russia booking commonly involves the following documents, subject to the individual case.

  • Vehicle registration or title document from its registration country.
  • Purchase contract or invoice.
  • CMR international transport note arranged by the carrier.
  • Authority for the customs representative where required.
  • Customs declaration prepared with the representative.

Why choose an enclosed carrier for a long route

Several days between Germany and Moscow or southern Spain expose an open-carrier vehicle to weather, debris and winter road salt. An enclosed body shields it from direct exposure, which can matter for a new purchase ready for handover.

Soft wheel straps secure the car, condition photographs document collection and delivery, and GPS tracking is available. An opening-side single-car van can provide address access where a large trailer cannot, subject to checking the site.
